Case Study
117 Offshore Personnel Mobilized to Deepwater Rig Without Operational Delay
We safely transported 117 offshore personnel and approximately 700tons of mission-critical cargo across multiple crew boat rotations to support an ongoing deepwater drilling campaign in Nigerian waters. The operation was completed on schedule with zero safety incidents, zero logistics-related downtime, and full regulatory compliance.

Wottnig's upstream logistics process
Client Order & Manifest Verification
The upstream client notifies WOTTNIG with an official manifest detailing the exact cargo (e.g., tons of AGO, drill pipes, or crew provisions) and the precise offshore coordinates.
Vessel Matching & Charter Allocation
WOTTNIG identifies and charters a Class-Certified vessel matched to the cargo type, draft requirements, and destination rig, verified against mission-specific requirements before deployment, not simply assigned from availability.
Regulatory Clearance & NIMASA Verification
Before any cargo touches the deck, WOTTNIG’s port agents secure clearances from NIMASA and the port authorities. The vessel’s safety certs, hull integrity, and manifest permissions are validated to ensure zero administrative delays.
Security Escort Mobilization
Simultaneously, WOTTNIG activates its institutional Navy MoU. The armed security vessel and naval personnel are assigned and synchronized with the supply vessel’s departure window.
Controlled Loading & Cargo Integrity Checks
The goods are physically loaded onto the supply vessel at the jetty. For liquids (fuel), joint quality and purity tests are conducted; for dry cargo, international deck-lashing safety standards are enforced. Crew members board during this window.
Navy-Escorted Sea Transit & Delivery
The supply vessel departs the port base surrounded by its Navy-escorted security shield, navigating high-risk channels safely to execute the drop-off at the rig’s 500-meter exclusion zone.
Operational control, voyage tracking and communication for every deployment
Every deployment is supported through active operational coordination, voyage monitoring, and continuous communication between vessel crews, offshore personnel, and client representatives. This enables rapid response to operational changes while maintaining visibility from departure through mission completion.
Every vessel is qualified before deployment
Every vessel deployed for client operations undergoes a structured qualification and readiness review before mobilization. Our operations team verifies that each assigned vessel meets the regulatory, operational, and safety requirements appropriate for the planned mission before it is cleared for deployment.

WOTTNIG combines offshore logistics and maritime security under a single operational framework, eliminating the need to coordinate separate logistics and security contractors. With one accountable partner managing both vessel movements and security support, offshore mobilizations become simpler, faster, and easier to execute.
Rigorous Securing and Cargo Protection at Sea
WOTTNIG actively monitors and preserves your cargo, ensuring that no damage is done during the process of the freight.

Continuous Deck Security: Scheduled sea-watch inspections keep heavy equipment, casings, and drill pipes locked in place through heavy sea states.
Uninterrupted Cold-Chain: Dual-powered reefer units and DNV-certified offshore containers ensure food provisions and sensitive materials arrive completely uncompromised.
